Devices that connect to the access point can easily access the internet, however, the access point itself reports that it doesnt have an internet connection and can't check for firmware updates.

Any advice on what do look for to solve this problem?

Hi, it is suggested to follow the FAQ to check your settings: How to configure Access Point mode

To update firmware of the Access point, Kindly note that during upgrading process, do not turn off or reset the Access Point.

Some models support online upgrade now, but we can also manually update the firmware. You may refer to the guidance.
