Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2

Since I updated my Archer AX55 to 1.3.2, if Secure Sharing is turned off in the router's admin UI, Windows always asks for a password to access USB over SMB, saying You can’t access this shared folder because your organization’s security policies block unauthenticated guest access.

This used to work in firmware 1.2.6.

Also, doing NET VIEW \\TP-SHARE or NET VIEW \\192.168.0.1 from the command prompt I get a System error 53: The network path was not found.

Tried on two different Windows 11 machines.

If I enable Secure Sharing, NET VIEW starts working, but I get an Error 3: Access denied.

@Marvin_S Thanks for the reply.

I had forgotten to mention I had in fact checked that workaround, but it did no good.

When I enable that option, any attempt at accessing the share from Windows will fail saying the network path is not valid, regardless of whether I access as \\tp-share or \\192.168.0.1

Are you able to access the share from Windows 11 without setting a password?

@Marvin_S Thanks for the heads up.

I am totally up to do whatever is needed.

The email seems to say I should expect a response from them.

Should I do anything else?

  @Marvin_S @uKER

I have Firmware Version

1.3.2 Build 20240325 rel.56896(4555)

For me works no problem file-share with windows 10/11 with or without secure sharing. On TV same.

Only visual bug still appear after log out and log in to webUI. Always "File Sharing" showing unselected/unmarked in Select Folder section.

And i begging for performance upgrade for USB SPEED. Transfers go only 20/30MB's like old speed of USB 2.0 should go 10x more with specification of USB 3.0 :) I hope for fix like you do for AX80 router :)

Hi, may I confirm your router is US or EU or which version?

There has been lastest firmware version on US official website. If yours are US version, please try to uprgade the official one.

  @ChrisBS I have a newer one, but I don't think we're supposed to redistribute prerelease firmware.

  @uKER In my case that what i send before I notice its already official firmware to download on US TP-LINK site.

About firmware what you got I see they send you new one. Seems i have to write to them to send me too.

 BTW. Can you check if still appear a visual bug with unmarked selected folders to share On USB Storage?

And can you check how fast speed is data transfer from PC to USB storage? :)
