When a module is inserted into the SFP slot of the switch, the corresponding port immediately up, regardless of whether the cable connecting it to other equipment is inserted into the RJ45 connector of the module or not.

Thus, based on the port state, it is not possible to determine whether there is a physical connection to other equipment.

This effect is observed on various switches from different vendors. This is an extremely inconvenient situation!
Is it possible to change this behavior so that the port in the switch is raised only after a physical connection by inserting a patchcord into the RJ45 connector on the SFP module from other active equipment?
