I purchased 2 tl-fc111a  media converters to put a wired connection to the bottom of the garden.

I have 1 set up to a sky router into a lan port,  the other end is attached to an ax12 router again lan port.

I have tested 2 different fibre cables and 2 different cat 5e cables. The power led is lit and the act/link led is randomly blinking. The middle led isn't lit up on either. I purchased a 3rd just in case 1 of them is broken. Now it looks like I have 3 broken media converters.

I purchased a fibre power meter but I don't really understand the figures it gives me.

If I connect the ax12 directly to the sky router it access the Internet, when the media converters are attached to Internet nothing.

Feeling a little stupid as they should be plug and play or not? Help please.
