If not, am I able to see live video when I log into the app, whether or not there is motion?
Yes you can view the live feed and do a manual recording in up to 5 minute increments. Motion/Sound based recording is clips of up to 3 minutes but will continue to record as long as motion is detected. It will just be in 3 minute increments. Contious recording is not a feature currently available in these devices.
