Hi, I just bought a RE450 v.1, and setup worked fine. I have set it as range extender to my router on both 2.4 and 5 GHz, and the wireless works fine. But then I have a TV device that has no wireless capabilities, so I connected it to the Gigabit Port on the RE450. But the TV device can't get an IP address? I tried to turn off WiFi on laptop and connect it to that port with the same result, no IP address. Why am I not getting an IP address from the ethernet port of the RE450? Please help...

Have a try a different cable? When plug the LAN cable, is the Ethernet LED light up on the extender?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I got it to work finally. After doing 4-5 factory resets and going through the wizard (with exactly the same settings), it suddenly started to work and give out an IP address. Very strange, but I'm glad it works now.
