I have a point to point set up from my house to another family members house 500ft away. Using 2 CPE510's, set up using the Maxstreme thing. At the family members house, if I plug right into the POE adapter with my laptop I can dial in 85mbps down, and 22mbps up. I have a Netgear Nighthawk ac1750 over there plugged into the POE adapter and over wireless I cant get above 40 download.  I also have a tp-link ac750 router (spare) and that does the same exact thing. If i plug my laptop into the back of the router the speeds are at 85mbps. WHAT GIVES?? I am super confused.

If set up correctly, CPE510 links can achieve 80 to 90 Mbps full-duplex – that means 160 to 180 Mbps data throughput on the half-duplex WiFi side – over a distance of 560 (and probably more) meters. See https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/stories/detail/1.

Recommendation: turn off MAXtream TDMA, it has not much advantage if using just 2 CPEs. Set WiFi mode to 802.11n-only , 20/40 MHz channel bandwidth (default), WMM/QoS enabled (default), distance to Auto (or the actual distance) and align the antennas properly. Last point is most critical. Make also sure the devices are grounded according to the installation guide.

Also keep in mind that using WiFi at the remote side can slow down things, especially if using the 2.4 GHz frequency band. But this is another problem not caused by the CPE510.
