Hello, I have a very strange problem with the TL R480T+ Load Balancer.

 

I have three internet links connected to the R480T. The links are stable.

 

The problem is that from my PC, the connection is very unstable.

 

When I connect my PC directly to the modem (via WiFi), then I get a stable connection.

 

I started to ping the R480T, and it loses a lot of packages.

I'm using WiFi, so it is not a cable problem.

Also, I am pinging a neighbour machine, and the packet loss is 0%.


These are the ping results to the neighbour:

--- 10.0.0.2 ping statistics ---
545 packets transmitted, 545 received, 0% packet loss, time 544729ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 1.032/7.722/144.785/17.214 ms

 

And these to the load balancer:

--- 10.0.0.1 ping statistics ---
540 packets transmitted, 271 received, 49% packet loss, time 545695ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.993/8.517/311.542/23.556 ms
 

 

Any help is very appreciated.

You can check if there is IP conflict between the router and other devices. And remove the router from the network to test again. Try to change the network cable and reset the router. 

And please note that this router should be supports up to 30 clients.

Hi 

 

My Loadbalancer router is also giving the same problem. i have 2 WAN connections acitve. Today suddenly stopped working. if ping to router i wont get a reply. i tried many things. then removed both wan port cable i tried to ping. i m getting reply. if plug it again request timed out. with cable connected wifi also same thing

 

I think your problem and mine are same if you got the resulation let me know

 

I m using same router as yours TL-T480T+ Verson 7

Hi, I found out that there was an issue in my internal network.

 

I reserved for myself an ip address, but someone else was using the same address.

 

Since I get to the office earlier, it worked ok until the other machine with the same address was turned on.

 

To fix it, I reserved to myself another address, and now it works fine.

Hi kums

 

TL-R480T+ V7 should be able to upgrade the firmware of version 8. Maybe you can have a try. You also can try to use only one WAN. Maybe you can find which link of WAN has problem.

I have tried with single wan also. it works for only 1 to 2 mins then stops working. Router is under warranty. so tp-link assured that they will give replacement for the same. so i need to wait for 1 week for the same because stock was not their

I have tried changing the loadbalacer ip address not succeed. so i m going for the replacement its under warranty
