They are speaking about AC and so on, but the coverage and range are not getting better.

WBS210 does not support AC.

I'm not sure what you want to achieve with WBS210 and omni antennas, since you asked for compatibility of WBS210 with directional antenna TL-ANT2424B in your first post.

Of course, WBS210 can't outperform other 802.11N devices, but in my experience it is also not worser than similar devices from other vendors. All devices have to obey regulatory rules.

I tried several antennas such as TL-AT2424B, TL-ANT2408CL, TL-ANT2410MO and TL-ANT2415MS with WBS210, found no irregularities. Naturally, standard 8dBi omni antennas can't reach the performance of 10dBi omni antennas specially designed for use with WBS210.

TL-ANT2408CL (antenna gain: 8dBi, omni):

However, when deploying WBS210 at customer's sites, I personally avoid using other antennas than those designed for WBS210, that are TL-ANT2415MS, TL-ANT2424MD and TL-ANT2410MO. The latter is an exceptionally good omni antenna with a very good range compared to cheap antennas for indoor routers, the sector antenna is also a very good directional antenna covering even larger ranges.

Rule of thumb: Do not use WBS210 to supply typical consumer devices except TL-ANT2410MO or TL-ANT2415MS over relatively short distances. Pharos devices are specially designed for directional, long-range backhaul links and IMO they work great for such use cases as proven in many installations.

TL-ANT2415MS (antenna gain: 15dBi, beam width: 120º @6dB / 90º @3dB):

TL-ANT2410MO (antenna gain: 10dBi, omni):

A side node: Smartphones, ping and even typical WiFiAnalyzers are not suitable to make measurements, because smartphones have much worser antennas. If you do measurements for ranges or throughput of WiFi equipment, use professional tools such as NetSpot and iperf running on a modern laptop or use the Pharos built-in speed-test which also uses iperf.
