Model: TL-R600VPN
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 4.0.3

What i want to do is, Host A can access all sites including the social site like facebook, youtube etc. Host B block accessing the social sites like facebook, youtube etc but can access all other websites.

Can you provide full details/configurations on how to setup and to achieve this.

I think it's easy to meet your requirements thourgh Web Filtering. You may refer to the FAQ.

Hi Andone

I'm done setup followed the instruction you provided. It's working, some users using IP(included in IP Group) accessing the internet and unable to access social media and some users able to access the social media. But, i encoutered random all user has no internet access (even ISP is working fine) and for the user has not granted to access the social media, they able to access the social media. Is there any solution for that? I followed correctly the instruction.

Thank you

The configuration is alright. When the problem happens, you can try to disable web filtering, it's for confirming the problem is caused by the feature. Also can try to upgrade the latest firmware.

@Andone

Good day, Andone.

Thank you for your response.

The reason why we chosen this router because its feature about web filtering. So, we need web filtering to control our users to accessing the social media. Is the best solution to upgrade the firmware to fix the problem? or is there any solution that you can provide?

Thank you.

I can only think out the solution that upgrade the latest firmware. The firmware download link is as follows.

Hi Andone,

Done upgrading the firmware but unfortunately still encountering the same issue.

We set  on the router 172.16.10.11 to 172.16.10.31 are the IP's that unable to access the social media.

So, when we set those IP's on the user they still able to access the social media (NOTE: random experience, when we try to access social media using the IP blocked in the first attempt, it is already blcked and unable to access but when we try to refresh the page still accessible the social media. There is no problem with our internet connection they able to connect to internet and browse, the only thing is when we use the IP's blocked on the router they still able to access the social media even its blocked on the web filtering. Hope you can help me regarding on my issue on TL-R600VPN

User TCP/IP config

IP Address: 172.16.10.x

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway: 172.16.10.1

Suggest to clear the DNS cache for your browser and PC. Because the router will block the packets based on DNS request. If you PC has the DNS cache, it will not send DNS request then maybe the router cannot block it.
