@JSchnee21 I'm now at my wits end.  I set up a dedicated 2.4 GHz WLAN with its own SSID just for this computer.  I have now cycled through every security option there is and I get the same result.  The Chromebook displays a popup:

Network connection error

Failed to connect to network 'SSID Name' Out of Range

I get this error with the Chromebook literally on top of the AP.  Numerous other devices in our home (much further away) are connecting fine.  This Chromebook connects to the school's WiFi network just fine.

Hi @xleroc,

Sorry to hear things aren't working out.  While it always frustrates me when a piece of technology doesn't work the way it should, sometimes you just have to cut bait and move on.

A few possible options to consider:

1) a long ethernet cord

2) MOCA => ethernet

3) small travel router (like the Mango from GL.iNET GL-MT300N-V2) to Ethernet

4) MESH connected EAP225 to ethernet

5) Buy an iPad or laptop

6) USB to Wifi adapter for the Chromebook -- not sure if this is supported and you may not have adequate privs to do so
