The Wlan`s with vlan don't get any ip so im pretty sure the tagged traffic just gets dropped on the 615.1 that is coming from 615.2 .

There was an firmware upgrade available today to 1.1.0 but it also has the same problem.

  @2ramiro

Suggest you post this issue in the Requests & Suggestions forum, and link back to this thread.  We'll find out if it's a firmware bug or if it's a limitation of the hardware itself.

Dear @d0ugmac1,

@Fae this might be a bug, so heads up. @2ramiro If you configure one of the unused ports on the upstream EAP615.1 (say EAP615.1.eth2) with the vlan20, is the device connected to EAP615.2.eth1 still unable to communicate? Do the wireless devices attached to EAP615.1 on SSIDs with VLANs also stop working? As I understand your problem, as soon as you configure a VLAN on a physical port of the downstream AP (EAP615.2) then all VLANs, including those belonging to SSIDs stop working? To me that sounds like a software bug.

Sorry for my late response, I just noticed your tag by following this new thread. BTW, you didn't tag me successfully, and this @Fae is a successful tag. Next time when you try to tag me, wait for a moment if it says "No match!" and then you'll see the matched names.

Back to the EAP VLAN issue @2ramiro reported, here we may need to highlight that

  1. To enable SSID VLANs on Omada EAP products, the front uplink port connecting to the EAP should be configured as Tagged port (Trunk).
  2. The ETH ports on the Wall Plate EAP are bridge ports, which can belong to only one VLAN and forward the frames without tag (Access).
  3. With ETH VLAN disabled, the EAP615-Wall will pass through the VLAN traffic to the downstream EAP.
  4. With ETH VLAN enabled, then the downstream device will only receive tagged traffic with the single VLAN and forward traffic without tag.

To get the VLAN SSIDs to work on the 2 EAP615-Wall, in this connection TL-SG3210---port4-->EAP615-1--eth4-->EAP615-2, the port4 should be tagged with corresponding VLANs (use profile All), and ETH4 VLAN should be disabled. @2ramiro Could you please check whether you are configured this way?

Hello Fae

I attached some pictures , it is configured as you said , as soon as i click apply on the eap615.1 all wlan's with vlan stop working on eap615.2 .

Also in the Topology it shows that eap615.2 is connected directly to sg3210 allthough is connected to the eap615.1

Is your EAP615.2 connected to the ETH1 port or the ETH3 PoE Out port of the EAP615.1?

Could you please disable the ETH1 VLAN on your EAP615.1 and see what will happen?
