  @Fae

Hello Fae,

Thanks for your feedback related to the new ER7212PC batch with adapted cords which will not intend to loose anymore.

Do you have some serial numbers from which we can recognize the new batch without the current connector issue?

Thanks.

Hello @thab

Sorry that I don't have further insight about this info. Perhaps you may visit the local store or contact the local sales agent for checking.

Best Regards! :) New to TP-Link Community? >>Get Started Here<<.

Hi Guys,

After dozens power cable disconnections, I found 5 cent solution. R-Type cable clamp works perfectly. Hope this will help ;)

How do I disable the Controller? I want to be able to directly manage the underlying VPN Router. The controller is too slow and bogs everything down. Buying an integrated unit can be a mistake.

I just got one of these three-in-one units. Great idea, but poor execution. The controller makes everything too slow. The default interface should be the VPN-Router. The controller should run either on a different port, or launch it in a separate window. Is the 7212 slower than an ER7206? The ER7206 works quite well. The 7212 so far seems to be a major step down.

  @Rgusn

I had the 7212 and returned it immediately as it's super slow, the built-in controller cannot be deactivated and the so-called 'switch' in it wasn't a real switch as I couldn't assign profiles to the ports (but this behaviour has changed now, months later).

All in all a very negative experience.

Then I went for 7206 and I am super happy with it - wayyy better performance, but it's also logic as it is a pure router.

If you're looking for some real horsepower then either go for 8411 or if this is overkill then wait for the shortly available 707-M2:
