  @Fae Still having serious IPv6 problems (dropped traffic) on an Omada Software Controller adopted "EAP653(EU) v1.0" with Firmware "1.0.0 Build 20221125 Rel. 64067" especially when using tagged VLANs. It's mostly working (albeit feeling slow at times) on the native VLAN (untagged) but still fails on tagged VLANs (like 2,3,4,...).

I've already have opened a support case (TKID221227976). Just responding here to let other people know that there is someone that still has problems even with the beta firmware that is supposed to fix the issue.

  @Fae

When using beta firmware my controller says, that newer software is available... Is this normal behaviour?

Yes @Spryde, it seems to only check the major.minor.patch version and not build number.

  @Fae

Confirming here that EAP670 on 1.0.0 Build 20221219 Rel. 53796, clients (iPhone, Surface Laptop) now receive IPv6 address instantly, rather than previously taking 30-60seconds to receive IPv6 address after connecting to WiFi.

I am not running any VLANs, but did notice IPv6 was slow to connect previously so leaving a note here.

Cheers.

Hi Fae,

Hi Hank,

is there any update concerning new firmware? For me even with newest Beta here from the community my EAP650 are most of the time not getting IPv6 adr.

You said, that a new final version it's on it's way (actually it should already be there). So any update?

Concerning the issue itself.

What I found out is, that with Apple Devices most of the time I do not get an IPv6.

With a Linux Laptop on the same WiFi I do get IPv6 most of the times.

Don't know why?!

Dear @Spryde,

Sorry to hear that you still have the IPv6 issue with the Omada EAP devices.

To confirm, are you running any VLANs in your network? If yes, I'd escalate your case to our support engineer for further investigation. BTW, could you please try to elaborate on the IPv6 issue you encountered, and tell what troubleshooting you have tried? Have you captured the packets and find any clues about the issue?

Best Regards! :) New to TP-Link Community? >>Get Started Here<<.

  @Fae

Hi. It's a little bit confusing now.... So your newest firmware update doesn't solve the IPv6 Packet Drop issues, or am I wrong?

With latest Beta I do still have IPv6 issues while using VLANs. Within the same network connected to a EAP610 Outdoor IPv6 is working - when connecting to the EAP650s the IPv6 connection is lost.
