Is the EAP620HD V1 a dead product?

The last update for these devices was a little more than 13 months ago.
About 5 months ago an employee replied on the forums that support for things like PPSK was in the works but since then it's been radio silent.
Is TP-Link still supporting these EAPs or are they at EoL now?

from the silence from tp-link, the answer is probably given. tp-link rather prioritizes creating as many versions of a product as possible instead of providing good customer service and updating existing products. in the long run tp-link will probably be the loser.

@Crowfather Is there something broken that needs an update on the 620?
My understanding is that it already has working PPSK, dynamic VLAN, mesh, fast roaming, and works with AI wifi optimization, which are all things still being added to the new APs that is driving updates.
And the employee that mentioned PPSK implementation was referring to the 610v2/650/670, and has just started to be implemented with the 650/670.

The EAP620HD does not support PPSK or Dynamic VLAN.
They mentioned 5 months ago it was coming, and there's a beta firmware that supports it but no official updates since December 2021 and no additional news in 5 months.

@JoeSea It is about the principal. If it is a business product, then it should have a better support cycle than this. Admittedly, our company EAP620HD has been very stable since the latest update but considering this is a closed source, we can never know what is broken under the hood (mostly security). An update itself is a way to have sanity in check in that aspect. Feature-wise, not necessary.
Personally, I have always preferred using TP-Link consumer-grade products due to their cost/feature effectiveness compared to competitors. Firmware support has always been a downside, but many models are supported by the open-source community, so all is good. But well, there is no open-source SDN solution yet, so...
