Firmware Version:

Setup

  • ER605 v2.0

  • TL-SG3428MP

  • OC-200

  • EAP245(US) x 3 [Namely, ControlRoom Access Point {C.AP}, Shop Access Point {S.AP}, Lobby Access Point {L.AP}]

  • EAP225(US) [RoofTop Access Point { RT.AP}]

Map

The three access points [RT.AP, S.AP, and L.AP] are connected wirelessly in mesh mode

Problem

After a power outage, the three Downlink APs do not connect back to the Root AP (C.AP) [Image below] after a power outage/cut. To connect them again, I have to manually remove them from the Controller and go to each of them to perform a physical reset, and again add them to the controller.

Before Power Outage
After Power Outage

Note

I cannot run an Ethernet cable to each of the Access Points currently, I am planning to do so in the near future.

This could be the channel that the AP is operating on.   Namely the ROOT and MESH NODE need to be on the same channel to be able to communicate, you may find after a power cycle the ROOT AP is on a new channel and therefore the mesh fails.

Generally its best to manually set the MESH ROOT and NODES to stick to one channel after a reboot, had this before.

All non Mesh APs can happily be left to any auto channel

I have tried setting the APs on a fixed channel, band, and power. Still, it is not working as expected.

Hi, did you enable Auto Failover? What is the firmware version of your OC200?

You can also try exchanging the mesh AP and the root AP for testing.

And don't put the mesh APs too far away from the root ap.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.
