Model: VIGI NVR1016H
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 240411 Rel.68081n

Hello All.

I have a strange issue with my new NVR. I have 7 Vigi cameras setup on this site, they have been running fine as independent units while I removed and replaced the old

system, a camera at a time.

Can view live and playback footage locally and remotley via Android, Iphone and Windows Vigi app direct from camera.

Today I added the NVR, pulled the cameras into the NVR no problem, including two generic ONVIF cameras. All cameras work fine through the NVR on mobile app, both Android and Iphone, local connection and Internet. However the Windows Vigi app cant display output from Cameras on NVR, I get "Network is Unstable" error when viewing locally. But I can view using the Windows app when on a remote connection. Sitting in my home office I can see all 9 cameras while connected to NVR on the Vigi app.

All cameras still work fine locally if I connect directly on Windows, just dont work connecting to the NVR.

What could be causing this? Network connection is fine, everything works except with the Windows Vigi app, and only on a local IP address.

Thanks and kind regards

Ian

EDIT: I have just tried the laptop I was using on site from home. Vigi works and shows all Cameras connected to NVR as expected, no configuration changes required, so the only issue is with Windows Vigi app, while on a local network. No issue with install, Windows preventing app from accessing network etc.

Hi @IanGC

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Check your local connection on the Windows.

Physical connection to the IPC.

What about the ping results from this specific PC to the IPC?

I only experience an issue with this error when I have a bad Internet connection. That's the only experience with this error.

@Clive_A  Thanks for your reply, network is good, all new switches and cabling. Internet is not the issue as the problem only occurs on a local connection, viewing remotely via the internet is fine.

Connection to camera is not the issue, I can view all cameras if I direct connect to the Cameras in the Vigi software, connection issue is only when looking at cameras via NVR, and only on Windows client. Maybe the latest software has some issues?

I don't see you mention what version you use for the VSM.
