Vpn IPSEC passphase

Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 1.0.3 Build 20140604 Rel.64661

IPSEC issue
I'm having trouble setting my passpahase as my isp provided because it conains +#&=|<>^ characters.
Error is NO "+#&=|<>^" allowed.
My old vpn device was working properly.
Is a real issue or a firmware bug?
