tp-link SX3008F v1.20 sys light stops blinking
Since I did the latest update to this switch every few days the sys light stops blinking.
devices connected to ports have no connectivity activity lights are steady.
controller says disconnected.
I powercycle and it works fine for a few days.
I have another one of these switches and it's working just fine.

Hi @Robbp12
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
May I ask what is your network topology? Was the TL-SX3008F working fine before firmware update? Did you still recall that what was the pervious firmware version of the switch?
It is mentioned that the SYS and port light are abnormal, can you provide more detail on the abnormal light status? Is the another switch the same model and firmware version like this TL-SX3008F?
Since you manage the switch in Controller mode, may I know the Controller version and know if you tried to manage it via standalone mode as well?

@Hank21 both are the same model and firmware. the sys light stops blinking, omada controller says disconnected and any devices connected to switch are non responsive. powercycle seems to fix for a few days. I did a factory reset almost 2 days ago and it's still working.

@fraroy I factory reset both of mine, I didn't have any lengthy configs on them, just all trunk ports with a few vlans. easy enough to recreate and have not had a problem since reset

@Robbp12 ,
Thanks for the heads-up. Will definitely try but wait until I get another freeze. Looking at the current config (from the CLI), do not see anything unusual This is a brand new switch I received last week, spent a few days configuring it with firmwares 1.20.7 and 1.20.12, then upgraded to 1.20.14

@fraroy it's definitley something with 1.20.14 firmware both of my 3008's were rock solid prior to update

Hi @fraroy
Could you provide the network topology and the issue description on your SX3008F?

The issue is already described in posts #1 and #6 of this thread. As for topology, this is a pure layer-2 switch, providing network access to two computers. It's the only switch on the network running beta firmware 1.20.14, and the only one freezing. It's interconnected to two other switches, a tl-sx3008f (1.20.7) and a sg3210x-m2 (1.0.11).
