Model: EAP775-Wall
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 / 1.0.4

Hello,

I upgraded the firmware on this device from 1.0.1 to 1.0.4 and lost the ability to browse the internet. My setup is EAP775-Wall with a cable passed though to another switch. From that switch is my computer. The native VLAN for the port is the same VLAN all the tp-link devices are on including the wall ap and switch. So all the other VLANS coming through are tagged to the switch beyond the AP. I can still ping out to the internet/resolve DNS through command line, but for some reason cannot browse the internet.

I reverted the firmware back to 1.0.1 and all started working again. So seems like potentially an issue with tagged VLANS through the ports of the wall AP.

In v1.0.1 I did have an issue on the WiFi connecting to internal devices on other VLANS like NAS drive but internet traffic was fine. These issues were not on the EAP725-Wall with the same setup, but I replaced with EAP775-Wall.

If you can help that would be great thanks.

@DJS85 Thanks for posting, that's very interesting behavior. To clarify, you're getting issues with a switch that is connected to the downstream port of the EAP775-Wall not being able to access the internet? What kind of switch is connected? Are you managing the devices in Standalone mode or through controller?

Yeah sg2210xmp-m2 is the switch. It’s all controller managed on 6.1. Switch is up to date. Like I said. No issues on the 725-wall and rolling back to 1.0.1 brought it all back again on the 775-wall. Port config on the 775-wall was set to default as it was before and on 725-wall. So only change was the update to 1.0.4 on the 775-wall

Re:EAP775-Wall (EU) tagged VLAN'S on pass through ports issue
Yesterday

@DJS85 I have the exact same setup as you. EAP775's flowing to an SG2210XMP (and then in my case to an OPNsense router). I had a VLAN issue where frames from an SSID VLAN were showing up to the router untagged. This behavior did not happen with the EAP773 that the 775 replaced. There are definitely some bugs with EAP775 VLAN handling, amongst other things.

I suspect we will have to wait for a couple of generations of firmware before the EAP775 becomes relatively stable/bug-free.
