I have a Linux server connected to a LAG port group on my Switch, which is configured as a trunk port as all my VLANS need to be allowed through it for various services.

 

The native VLAN is default VLAN 1. Network Tag Setting is set to Allow All, and all networks are indeed in the dropdown list as tagged.

 

 

The server itself has a bond0 interface with a physical IP address in VLAN 30.

 

Everything works and I'm not experiencing any issues or downtimes. However, my Event log is constantly flooded with messages of my server going offline and online from the SERVER (VLAN 30) network. This happens about every 10 minutes:

 

 

Why am I seeing these events? The server is not disconnecting and has a fixed IP address in the server vlan. Just a cosmetic bug, or have I misconfigured my trunk port somehow?

this is a cosmetic logging issue present on the switch firmware releases from december to early january

 

It is resolved in the latest prereleases but its two part - you need the latest controller and the latest switch firmware.

 

If you dont want to use prerelease stuff, you can ignore these logs, there is no actual functional issue

Thanks. I have upgraded my hardware to pre-release versions yesterday to get all new 6.2 controller features and these messages have disappeared!
