Model: VIGI C540S
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.2.1 Build 260320 Rel.24009n

Hi Team,

I have few VIGI C540S cameras, and i am streaming them through VLC by RTSP 24/7.

Hardware Version for them are all

VIGI C540S 1.0

Firmware Version in 3 different versions

2.0.4 Build 240913 Rel.56881n

2.1.0 Build 241213 Rel.62002n

3.2.1 Build 260320 Rel.24009n

All camera are working fine, however by all of a sudden. VLC won't able to get the streaming from the camera.

I can log into the camera's web interface no issue. but after logged into the web, the stream preview shows "Please visit https://x.x.x.x:8443 for certificate trust to view videos. Then come back here to refresh this page to view videos"

After I click that link, https.....:8443, it does't lead to anywhere.

After I reboot the camera through the webpage, then the streaming back to normal again and preview on the web page also can be viewed.

I have noticed that this issue only happens on FW version 2.1.0 and 3.2.1. 2.0.4 never has this issue.

This issue really affects the performance of the camera and affect the my client's trust.

Please help to solve this issue as soon as possible.

Please help to send me the FW to 2.0.4, so I can run them on a stable version.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,  @Qi_Qian

Thank you for posting on our business forum.

We would like to note that firmware downgrading (rolling back to an older firmware version) is generally not recommended, as it may cause potential unexpected impacts to your device.

A firmware upgrade typically does not interfere with RTSP stream pulling, so we recommend you follow this guide to reattempt pulling an RTSP stream from your camera:How to establish an NVR RTSP server | TP-Link

Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.
