Port switching capacity of EAP 650-desktop
Team,
What is the maximum ethernet port switching/forwarding rate of the EAP-650-desktop?

Hi @ITV
Thanks for posting here.
EAP650-desktop has 4 × 1 Gbps Ethernet Ports + 1× FXS Port. So the speed is 1Gbps.
You will find the basic specifications from the product spec page:

@Vincent-TP - thank you for the pointer - I'm aware of this.
My question was more performance related: the idea is the use this device as an edge switch for rooms with 2 developers.
Where each developer has a laptop (WiFi-connected) and a workstation (utp-connected).
As a 2-developer team there is also a small server (utp-connected).
Is the switch in this EAP-desktop-model considered non-blocking when transfering packets between these 3 utp-devices?

Hi @ITV
What do you mean by "utp-connected"?
The Ethernet ports on EAP650-desktop function like those on a regular switch, and connected devices can communicate with each other by default. Is this the question you wanted to confirm?

@Vincent-TP - The term utp is the equivalent of rj45/ethernet.
I'm not seeing it as an issue because the device is working as expected.
It is more like a RFI - in this case about the switching module in the device:
Does the switching module operate at wirespeed, non-blocking when used as an edge switch with 3 high speed ethernet devices.
Hope this helps.

Hi @ITV
I used the wrong word. Edited.
Does the switching module operate at wirespeed, non-blocking when used as an edge switch with 3 high speed ethernet devices.
>>>It generally runs at the speed of the service used by the connected device, with an upper limit of 1Gps.
