Vigi Cloud VMS Remote Registraion devices show up twice
I have added a few cameras and an nvr for testing,
1x InSight S345-4G
2x C350 connected to the S345-4G
1x NVR1016H
added my account to every camera one by one, and to the nvr too, successfully Remote Registered them to the NVR , but when i checked the cloud VMS every camery shows up and counted twice, which is misleading.
I think it might be a bug or something.

As seen in the image every camera gets listed twice, even in the VIGI apps for viewing, which is misleading to see 6 camera lives instead of 3 from the NVR

This issue is most likely caused by an operational mistake. When you add an NVR through the VMS, the VMS will scan and detect the cameras managed by that NVR. At that point, you’ll be prompted to add both the NVR and all of its cameras together.
If some of those cameras had already been added to the VMS individually before, and you choose “add all” when prompted, the system will warn you about duplicate cameras and ask if you want to remove them. If you choose not to remove them, those cameras will end up appearing twice in the VMS.
Cameras with “channel” in their device name are managed through the NVR, while the ones without “channel” were added manually. You can go ahead and delete the three devices that don’t have “channel” in their names.

Thank you for the answer.
What happens if i delete the cameras and only use it through NVR, if the remote connection fails . Will I be able to control and modify the settings of the cameras managed by the NVR, through VMS?

@Wex01 VIGI Cloud VMS is cloud-based, so when the cloud connection is lost, neither device can be controlled remotely — no matter how they were added.

I understand that,
My question is the following:
I add the cameras through remote registration only
Lets say the public ip of the NVR changes(Im aware of DDNS),
Both of the NVR and cameras still have Internet access, meaning still could connect to VMS.
But the cameras couldn't find the NVR on the internet.
Will i have acces to the cameras from the VMS to change the remote registration settings or do i need to go on site and connect to the cameras manually?
This is the only thing thats not clear for me

Well, in that case, if you want to reconnect the camera to the NVR, you’ll need to be on site where the camera is located. That said, you can still access the camera when this happens -- by manually adding it back to the VMS.
So if you’re concerned about this issue, you can either leave the duplicate camera entries as they are, or simply re-add them manually whenever their connection to the NVR is lost.

Thank you for your help in this matter.
Sadly the site is at a remote location, so it is safer to leave them in VMS.
Is there a way to hide these devices from the end user, Can i add permissions in VMS to only see the cameras which are connected to NVR?
As of now in the VIGI mobile app the cameras are duplicated too which could be confusing for the users.
If there is no way to specify which cameras can the user see, i would like to make this as feature request.

Your setup is quite uncommon — typically, the camera and NVR are on the same local network for easier management. That said, even in your scenario, the product already includes a feature that detects duplicate devices and allows you to remove them (hide device is not supported). Additionally, even if the connection between the NVR and the camera is lost, you can still reconnect the camera to the VMS as long as its network connection is functioning.
If you’re concerned about not being able to re-add the camera to the VMS, that would most likely indicate that the camera’s network connection has also failed. In that case, neither the camera entries synced through the NVR nor the manually added ones would be able to connect properly.
