Introducing the Fusion 2.5G - The First Omada Fusion Gateway
We’re proud to showcase the Fusion 2.5G, the next innovation in our Omada Gateway line. We’ve been able to test the device alongside our Pioneers and have been excited to share the new features that the Fusion Gateways bring since their announcement.

A New Content Filtering Experience
App-Based Content Filtering allows for robust configurations that can be set up in seconds. Block specific sites in a snap, or cover a certain category all at once. Also included is the option to Block Ads, which uses a DNS-based ad blocker to prevent delivery of those annoying pop-ups and banners.
Heads Up!
This feature works best in tandem with client-sided ad block, as some websites use the same servers to host content as they do to display ads.
Balancing Power and Efficiency
The Quad-Core CPU means the Fusion provides fast response and higher processing power, perfect for all levels of deployment. And with a max power consumption of 8.18W (compared to 26.36W on the ER8411), there’s no need to worry about power budget.
Full Mesh SD-WAN
The Full Mesh SD-WAN feature allows for seamless connectivity between Fusion sites. Pre-configure each device, then ship them to their designated location for simple plug-and-play setup; no public IPs required.
Commonly Asked Questions:
What can I display on the touchscreen?
You can display network statistics such as WAN throughput (with a speed test option built in), recent alerts, system monitoring information like CPU usage and temperature, and so much more. For more details, check out the product overview page or the user guide!
Do I have to use the mobile app to set up the Fusion Gateway?
No, setup via the web management page is still supported. You may need to add the controller port number to the URL as well (Example: 192.168.0.1:8043).
Do Fusion Gateways have PoE ports?
The models designated with PoE have several PoE ports. For example, the Fusion 2.5G and Fusion 2.5G PoE are separate models.
Will the Fusion Gateway fit in my network rack?
Yes! The Fusion is designed to fit on a desk, in a network rack, or on top of an existing network device. Additional accessories such as a magnetic mount accessory or a rackmount kit can be purchased separately.
Can I migrate my configuration from my hardware/software controller to the Fusion Gateway?
Currently, migration between other controllers and the Fusion Gateway is not supported. Best practice is to set the Fusion Gateway to a separate VLAN, set up all the settings ahead of time, and then switch the Fusion’s VLAN to the main LAN and adopt devices from there.
