Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 6.3.0.45

Hi Team,

I wanted submit a bug report for the "client" page on version 6.3.0.45 of the software controller. I've recently upgraded my controller to this version. Occasionally I use the feature to block clients which kick my kids off the WiFi. When doing that after upgrading I went to unblock the next morning and the clients did not show up in the clients list. I checked the "Blocked" tab, as well as the "All" tab and they were not there.

I ended up digging into the database a bit and found a possible issue. It seems the blocked clients were moved from the "client" collection in the omada database to a collection called "clientconfig". I'm not sure if this is intended, but the devices in the clientconfig collection were not visible in the Omada GUI.

I have solved the issue for myself by manually removing those clients from the clientconfig collection, reprovisioning my devices, and then reconnecting the clients to the network. I wanted to flag this issue as it makes the "block" feature a pain to use.

Ok I was able to unblock it in a bizzarre way...

I enabled the logging for WI-FI login attempts :

GLOBAL VIEW -> SETTINGS -> HISTORY DATA RETENTION
Client History Retention - ENABLE

I made an attempt to login to wifi from my son's PC.

SITE VIEW -> LOGS -> EVENTS

[Failed]Piotrek failed to connect to AP 2 with SSID "Vasquez" on channel 1 because the user was blocked by MAC block/MAC Filter/Lock To AP.(16 times in the last minute)

When I clicked on "Lock to AP", a new client menu slided in from the right side with an option to UNBLOCK it.

I was able to connect to wifi afterwards

I think there is a UI mess in the new version of firmware.
-> blocked PC was not on the blocked list - why?

-> why "Lock to AP" link took me from the log to the menu of blocked client?

I tried to reproduce the bug 2nd time, but I couldn't

I use:
OC200 v1 with firmware 1.42.11 Build 20260904 Rel.26567

Hi,

Could you please let me know your Controller type and version? Did this issue start occurring after the controller upgrade?

If possible, please go to Global View > Settings > System Setting > System Logging, set the Logging Level Type to Custom, and select Debug for both Client and Others Info Logs (see attached screenshot for reference).

After that, please try to reproduce the issue and note the exact time when it occurs.

  @Nathan-TP

my controller version is OC200 V1 - software:

6.3.0.45

I cannot replicate my problem. Now it works as a should

I blocked my laptop -> it has appeared in blocked device list as it should -> I could unblock it without any problems :(

Only my son's laptop is still blocked and not visible on the list.

Audit log:

Sep 12, 2026 11:33:39

xxx.yyy@gmail.com

Clients

Successful

Piotr-PC blocked successfully.

I also found an entry in the switch config:

mac address-table filtering c4:3d:1a:ce:ef:c8 vid 1

I was able to remove it through CLI fucntion.
SITE -> Network Config -> CLI Configuration -> Device CLI -> Create New Device CLI Profile

I put these two lines and applied

#
no mac address-table filtering c4:3d:1a:ce:ef:c8 vid 1

the entry in the switch config has vanished as expected, but son's laptop still cannot connect to the wifi :(
