Possible bug: One eap620 (HD) unit does not respect the portal system (with voucher), even though it is properly adopted. Several others were working OK.

Explanation:

A few months ago (approx. February 2026), one eap620 unit was configured normally on the website, along with other eap245 units. This eap620 had not presented any anomalies (feb 2026).

For the event on September 26th, we kept only one eap245 unit (it worked perfectly the whole time), we continued with the old eap620 (it remained configured normally as it was before on the website within Omada Soft), and we acquired 3 eap620 units, which were properly installed (adopted and configured) in the Omada Software Controller.

Total: 5 routers "Connected" to the system. 1x eap245 + 1 old eap620 + 3 new eap620 routers

Problem: The old eap620 router wasn't opening the portal's homepage, nor accepting vouchers that were accepted on the other routers.

It gave the error (when trying to open the portal): web page not available net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE

This error only manifested itself when clients were using it.

The router was restarted, everything was restarted, several times. It didn't work at all.

I changed the switch, changed the gateway, changed the cable, turned off the eap245 (at first I thought the problem was it), it was a nightmare to find the solution. Many people were complaining and wanting to use the internet.

Solution found: 1) I forgot (forgetted) the old eap620 router, and 2) then I adopted it.

After a new adoption and configuration of the eap620, it worked normally, opening the Portal screen and respecting the vouchers already accepted in the system.

What I expect from TP-Link: measures to ensure this never happens again.

All are eap620 (US) V3.0

Omada accessed via IP, eap620 configured via internal configuration page (tplinkeap.net), where the controller's IP was included.

Equipment:
2x internet links, fiber and one Starlink --> ER605 gateway --> 2x 200-meter fiber optic cable --> TP-Link 5-port switch --> eaps 620 and 245.
