I've got a TL-PA4010 with 2 TL-WPA4220 version 1.
I upgraded the TL-WPA4220 te the latest firmware 1.3.1 without any problems.
Now I try to upgrade the TL-PA4010 but no succes. I tried to download all the firmware versions for the TL-PA4010 version 1 but none of them works. the current firmwar is 1.1.0.844-01_402011_140208_001.
I use the latest powerline utility and recive the message: upgrade failed.
Can somene help me how to upgrade the TL-pa4010.

what's the country version of your 4010? do you see UK or EU behind the model number on the device?
If yours is a UK version adapter, then it can't upgrade to the EU version firmware.
the 4010 is a EU model, not UK, so it should be the proper firmware.
shall I try the recovery tool to update it or is there a change I'll breack it?:confused:

It seems to be a special firmware or the model number is not right.
You can ask TP-Link support whether there is some special way to upgrade it.

Also experiencing the same issue. I'm certain I have a TL-PA4010 v1 (US) but the firmware provided - https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/tl-pa4010/#Firmware only works on the receiver. When attempting to update the firmware on the remote (the adapter connected to the router) it gives me an ":( Update failed". I tried a couple other firmwares I could find, but to no avail.

Hi, I'm new to this world of Powerline's and I have a problem.
I followed the step by step to update the WPA4220 firmware using the software available from the central download, but I believe I inserted the firmware into the PA4010.
Software reported error while updating firmware and device stopped working.
The other stations (WPA4220) are operating normally.
The software no longer recognizes the PA4010.
How to put the correct firmware on PA4010?
Ps. Sorry for the english mistakes. I am Brazilian and I am using Google translator.
