WPA4220 - used to work but now isn't!!

Hi. My powerline adaptors have always worked fine but have just stopped. I did a factory reset of the adaptor, paired them again (fine) but I can't access the TP-Link SSID on my phone or laptop to complete the process. So no Wi-Fi is being extended. Both phone and laptop can pick up Wi-Fi directly via my router. I then tried to use the WPS method by pressing the button on the router but that didn't work either. So to summarise, the adaptors are paired and connected to the same powerline but not to my Wi-Fi. I've spent 3 hours trying to sort this out today so any ideas very gratefully received. I feel I'm almost there and may be missing a very simple step!
Thank you!!
Jon
