HS105 Smart Plug Local Only - Remote Access Intermittent

I have 5 smart plugs set up - 2 HS100's and 3 HS105's. All 5 work perfectly on local wifi but the 3 HS105's can only be accessed intermittently on remote cellular connection. All 5 plugs were set up using the IOS Kasa app on my iPhone without a problem. I am currently using an Asus RT-N66R router and have assigned static IP addresses to each plug. I have tried uninstalling, factory resetting, and re-installing the plugs to no avail. I have also rebooted the router several times with no success. The issue appears to be related to the firewall because if I turn off the firewall, the 3 HS105's work perfectly on remote access. Since I don't want to keep the firewall off, is there a solution for this problem?
