My new RE200 AC750 after some hours lost the signal

Model: RE200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

My extender lost the network after some hours. I have configured with the same name and password than my router. My router is from Telefonica.

I don´t know if there is a problem with the channels, or maybe i need to use a different name of the network, but it is a problem because after the several hours the connection is lost. I need to unplug  and pulg again

Please any advice? can be a issue of my RE200?

Thanks in advance

Hi Óscar,

cause the network name are the same, to narrow down the issue, it is suggested to change another network name for the extender and check whether it still drops connection.

Besides, what is the light status of the RE200 when the connection lost? With your computer connected to the extender directly, what is the IP address and default gateway it obtained? https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/838/

Meanwhile, there is an instruction released, you can give it a go as well.

Thanks

I will try to configure another name and another password.

The only light turned on are wifi and turn on symbol. The rest of leds are off .

I will write down the ip again when i test with a  new name of the connections. But  i remeber using ipconfig command the obtained last ip was 192.168.1.58

Hi Óscar,

Except the instructions mentioned above, cause the 2.4GHz and 5GHz leds are off, you can take it closer to the main router to do a comparison test.

Besides, ensure that the firmware of the RE200 is up to date.

Any updates, just let us know.

Hi,

First, you can update the firmware to the latest one, and you can move it closer to the main router to do a comparison test.

Just take your time to do that, any updates, please let me know.
