Hi,
after trying to update the firmware of my RE305 (don't know if it worked) I see now this page for login:
There is no username and all possible passwords (my password and "admin") fail.
I'm locked out.
Is there a way to reset the firmware to factory settings?

Hi,
Basically, default password is admin.
In your case, the password should be changed before. Here is a way to recover the login password. Please try to hard reset: press reset button/hole with it for 10s until all lights on and off. Then try admin again.

Unfortunately, "admin" doesn't work as a password.
What confuses me is that I remember there was another login sreen *with* a username and I had no problems to login.
Currently I have only access though that awful "Tether" app via Wifi.

Hi,
Did you try the hard reset button/hole on the extender? Press the reset for 10s until all lights on and off? If not, please try it and make sure it is powered on when you press the reset button/hole.
In factory settings, yes, there is username and password showing on login page.

Then I loaded a config that I had saved before.
I don't know when exactly the login name disappeared.
Is that a known bug?

Hi,
Can you see login page with username and password after you hard reset the extender?
Meanwhile, the issue may happens after you change the login password. but for the exact reason, it is hard to say for now.

I am facing this now recently trying to use this router as secondary. i have disconnected from act and trying to connect with railwire, i am unable to login to tplink login page.
i dont see username i can only see password, tried to give admin still it says incorrect password. cleared all caches and history still not working.
Please help me out on this.
