One of my external antennas has gone missing and I am having a great deal of difficulty finding a replacement.

 

I have contacted TP-Link support and was told I need to purchase from a re-seller. 
I have contacted several re-sellers and they have all told me I need to contact TP-Link to obtain the replacement.

 

Can anyone tell me how I can purchase a replacement antenna, or if there is an aftermarket / upgraded antenna available?

Is it correct that the local wifi antennas are internal (2.4 / 5G) and the external antenna is the 4G LTE antenna?

Hi,

 

For MR400, V2 has 2 Internal 4G LTE Antennas while V3/V1both have 2 Detachable 4G LTE Antennas.

Cause your device is MR400 V1, it should be the detachable 4G LTE antennas. 

 

Meanwhile, may I know when and where did you buy this MR400?

I purchased this particular one in November 2018 from an MSY computer store in Perth. 

 

It would be nice if TP Link offered this as a replacement part that I could purchase. I’ve had a great deal of difficulty finding a good replacement. I may just wait till the MR600 is released and buy that, but I’m unsure how long that will be.

While I'm not sure whether there is stock available now, and you may need pay for it.

UPDATES: Got feedback from RMA office, there is no any spare antennas for this MR400 V1 at the moment. 

 

While you still can use the current device, while the signal will be affected cause one of the antenna is gone.

So you can confirm it will not harm the device if one antenna is disconnected?

It will still work, even though the signal might be affected due to the missing antenna.
