Model: TL-WPA4220
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

My home network already has 2 tl-pa251's (one connected to the router and another in a separate room). Would I be able to connect a tl-wpa4220 to this network as an ethernet extension to a separate room, or would a different model be better?

Hi,

All the TP-Link powerline adapters are compatible with each other.

If you want to add another single powerline adapter into the current PA251kit, it is suggested to buy a 4 series, like TL-WPA4220, TL-PA4010.

https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/powerline/

Note: The model with TL-WPAxx supports wifi function, while TL-PAXX does not.

And you only need press the pair button  to add the new unit.

Instruction as below:

Good day.
