Model: Archer VR900
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 0.2.0 0.9.1 v0069.0 Build 170303 ref 59897n

Just bought TP-Link as above all seemed great however keeps losing internet connection.

All lights on the router show good yet when I login to it the Tether app shows no internet connection this seems to happen at lease once or twice if not more times a day.

Anyone have advice or how to fix or debug it ?

 Here are some logs

Hi,

We will collect some details and do further troubleshooting  to fix it.

What is the light status of the VR900 when it goes offline? Especially the internet light and the DSL light.

With your computer or smart phone connected to it at that time, what is the IP address and default gateway it obtained?
Note: How to get them: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/838/

Meanwhile, please try to access the web page and take a snapshot of the status page.
Note: How to login to the web interface: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1730/

How do you make it back to work after it goes offline?

Here is an instruction you can follow to troubleshoot as well.

Look forward to your reply.

Have a nice day.

Hi,

I’ve had this VR900 for 2 weeks it’s dropped out 25 times.

I took it back to the store I purchased it from and swapped for another one of the same type. I work from home I cannot afford time to debug.

If this happens again with this one I will go back and swap for a different vendors router.

I cannot afford 25 drop outs in 14 days

If you can help great

Cause you swapped a new router as the same type, you can install it and observe its performance, whether the network connection is stable or so.

To make it work again it simply rebooted the router but like I said 25 drop outs in 14 days is bad.

If this router does same I won’t be buying anything tplink again.

@dspit1664

usually we use the system log after it drops internet to do further analysis.

Meanwhile, we can use some Packet Capture programme to test the connection between the router and front-end device. Like wireshark or so.
