First, glad to hear that you got it fixed, thanks for your feedback.

 

Then for the WPS method, cause the WPS mechanism varies with the different manufacturer, so there may have some compatibility issue which affects the performance of the WPS configuration. That is the reason why we recommend to configure the extender with the Tether app or the web UI.

Did you have to change the channel to 36 on your main router or you could change it on the extender? Believe the extender works only on channel 36

I had to change it in my router settings. It was easy; however, it did not fix the problem I was having with my network and I have since switch to a mesh WiFi system.
