Archer C9 v3 firmware release

Hi,
Is there any new firmware version for the Archer C9 router? Since 2017 until now - nothing. Is it dead?
No new features, no VPN ....???

It is probably dead. There are lot of routers which are in this state

Archer C9 does not support VPN server, while it supports VPN passthrough. You can find it under advanced-NAT forwarding-ALG page.
Meanwhile, the Archer C9 has V5 available already, even if it wil add the VPN feature, the priority for Archer C9 V3 will be lower than the new one.
Anyway, I believe that TP-Link can handle it, lets keep our eyes open.

Thanks for your reply, the Archer C9 V5 does support VPN server per you said, while the hardware version cannot be upgraded.
For the firmware issue, we will let our R&D team know and they can work on it and evaluate the feasibility.
