@Kevin_Z

Oke to see others getting help thru email, but what about the problems at hand? Anything on why the problems start?

Have you're technicians figured out what causes the problem with jbls in group setups?

@Kevin_Z

I have the same issue as everyone in this group and it only appears when playing over the deco m9 plus network. As soon as I switch back to my old network or to bluetooth the problem is gone.

What's the latest news about this one?

How do I get in contact with the tech guys via email?

Best regards Johan

Fyi, I stumbled upon this topic. I have the exact same problem with my JBL link speaker with a Netgear/Zyxel wifi setup, no TP-link... The problem is definitely with the JBL, not with the wifi hardware...

@Jury dus you read the text from the other users?, Everybody went back to the old setup in my case 2x Asus AC rt-ac87u and 1 Sitecom greyhound, no 0riblems whatsoever. 1x hk citation 300, 1 nest hub, 1x Google mini and 1 jbl link 10 in a group acting as a group speaker no problems.....new setup deck m9 (3x) all speakers work fine ( some minor crackling once in a while) except voor de JBL link crackling all the time (both in group or stand alone).

So all of the pre mentioned users are wrong? Lol

I returned my m9:s and have ordered the new Google nest to see if that will make a working setup.

@MarcMommers

I have the same problem here with cracks/pops when playing from Bluetooth/casting from any app (Deezer/Spotify/Youtube/etc), in a group or not. I had a Xiaomi AC1300 router, PowerlineTP-link with Wifi builtin and now an Intelbras 1200AC mesh network. The problem is the same. I have a Google Home, Alexa, TV with Chromecast, separated Chromecast, Audiocast builtin in My Pioneer receiver and this problem only occurs in JBL speaker, being near or not from my routers.
I guess the problem is the JBL speaker.

System firmware version:1525
Device firmware version: 1.36.152524

I returned my M9:s and bought Google Nest wifi. Works as expected with no cracking sounds at all so I'm pretty convinced that the issue ain't a JBL thing but a TP-Link issue.

Does anyone have any pointers on what the JBL Link uses networkwise? I thought it uses mainly mDns, are there any other connections?

The problem definitely lies with the Deco M9. I have two Harman Kardon streaming speakers, and when I pair them as a stereo pair the cracking noise starts immediately. But if I disconnect from the Deco M9 mesh WiFi and connect to, for example, a shared WiFi from a mobile phone - then everything sounds normal. I have tried in total four different WiFi devices, and the problem only appears with the Deco M9.

I would propose that the Deco software team invests in or borrows two streaming speakers that are pairable (HK, JBL or the like) and starts investigating the problem.
