Archer MR600 - WiFi Clients lose internet connection
Hi All,
Another problem (First has been described as - Problem with UPnP and port forwarding) with my Archer MR600 is that the Wifi clients lose suddenly internet connection. I have also extender RE305 working in One Mesh. But it doesn't matter if the client (TV, laptop - mac or win, or phone) is connected to RE305 or MR600, result is the same - no connection or super slow. In that case reset of both devices works, but its really annoying to do it everyday.
Much appreciated for any suggestion or advise.
Thanks.
Mateusz

Good day.
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
If It is only the wireless connection that dropped a lot, maybe you could refer to the following suggestions:
- Change the wireless channel of the 2.4ghz and 5ghz, and you could use a Wi-Fi analyzer to detect the best Wi-Fi channel;
- Reserve the IP address for all the mobile devices; https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1657/
- Make sure the firmware is up to date: Archer MR600(EU)_V1_200511

Thank you very much!

@Sunshine and TP LINK
Thank you for NOT replying to my post for almost a year, thank you for NOT solving our problems for over the year, thank you for not delivering firmware for RE650 to use one mesh for around a year....
By the way... your previus replay does not solve problem at all...
Some time ago I bought 2 ASUS routers working in AiMesh and that solved all problems! Moreover, my wifi connection is much faster now.
As far as I can see here you've lost another customer.
I'm sure I will be avoiding TP Link in the future, I've lost already on your router and 2 extenders...

Randomly I still have problem.... When I launch my notebook and see "Connected, No network connection" I have to disconnect and connect again - it is borring. My problem has not been solved too. It was last time I have bought TP-link device. Last few years when Linksys has left this market I thought TP-link is best choice and now I see I was wrong. I have contact to customer support and I have got few advises from TP-link support which didnt help me. This advises were like delay game: "try it, we will have peace for some time" and in the last advise were... return it to the seller... when 1 year has been passed... and what? I have company which can't operate without network connection until service will take decision about my claim report.
The problem is in firmware or hardware and they dont want to repair it. No one from TP-link developer or research team has got this problem to explore and solve it. This case has been stopped on low cost support without possibilities to create the task for hardware or software specialists.
What have left for me -> buy ASUS router and forgot about TP-link

After similar problems and scrolling past many frustratingly similar comments... I've followed the consensus and have ordered a replacement router from a different manufacturer! But while I'm waiting for that to arrive I came across a "fix" which seems to have stopped this issue for me.
It came from this thread - https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/176312?page=12 - "Enabling IGMP Snooping in the Advanced tab under Network/LAN Settings seems to have solved the issue". I have done this and it does seem to have stopped the constant dropping of connection.
Another "fix" that was suggested was to Turn off the "smart connect" (I haven't done this and mined is behaving so maybe try the above first). - I hope it helps those of you who can't just return the router like I can.

@Michaelehowe My issue has disappeared Michael. I think the basic problem was a weak signal or a lack of network bandwidth caused by people working/studying from home. I've now two MR600s with SIMs from the same carrier attached to my home LAN via a cheap TP-Link TL-R470T load balancer and it's all rock solid (touch wood 🙂)

@Mozart i have same problem.. it is fail to reconnect same network. Single shows ok. But it doesn't connect network... I have chosen band 40 only... and manual band selection... still it has problem but it is better than b4... I hope it can be fixed by software update.. I am using MR600 EU. V2... software is up-to-date.
