I'm having the same problem. Can't connect to 2.4GHZ no matter what even though 5GHZ and wired connections are working fine.

@mrjgardiner

try turning off AX for 2.4 ( you can leave it on 5 GHz). That seems to have solved it for me

@mrjgardiner well I jinxed it. Had been working fine for a week and then I woke up to every 2.4 GHz device disconnected

@DannyBoi

Hello, sorry to respond late.

May I know what if the current firmware version on the AX6000 now? Check if you can detect any newer version and upgrade it if yes.

@Kevin_Z I was prompted of a new firmware a few days ago and I completed the update via the Tether app. Via the admin web console, I see Firmware Version 1.1.1 Build 20200714 re.18254(5553). Other than that, nothing else has changed on my end and I've only experienced a few TP-Link/Kasa devices from failing to connect (i.e., after a power outage)...nothing since the firware update. Also, a few details of my settings:

OFDMA: ON

Smart Connect: OFF

2.4GHz

Security: WPA/WPA2-Personal

Version: WPA2-PSK

Encryption: AES

Mode: 802.11b/g/n/ax mixed

Channel Width: 40MHz

Channel: 2

Transmit Power: High

AFF: "Enabled"

5GHz

Security: WPA/WPA2-Personal

Version: WPA2-PSK

Encryption: AES

Mode: 802.11a/n/ac/ax mixed

Channel Width: 160MHz

Channel: 116(DFS)

Transmit Power: High

AFF: "Enabled"

MU-MIMO: "Enabled"

@CrazyHick

Hello,

Do you mean the Kasa devices will lose the connection with the latest 1.1.1 firmware as before? How about other wireless devices, are they connected fine?

May I know what was the issue you encountered with the previous firmware? Hope you could provide more details and we will try our best to figure it out ASAP.

Good day.

@Kevin_Z I think mine was mostly fixed after dropping AX from 2.4 GHz but it could have been a coincidence. I've only had it fail once since then. I updated to 1.1.1 today and it immediately caused problems with individual devices (Sonos speaker and Wyze cameras). These seem to be fixed after rebooting the router again.

@DannyBoi

Thanks a lot for the feedback. Please monitor this new 1.1.1 firmware and let me know if there is still an issue.

Good day.

@Kevin_Z sorry for the confusion. I have experienced ZERO problems with the Kasa smartplugs since the 1.1.1 firmware update, but then again, it's only been a couple of days. Previous to that, I hadn't experienced problems with droppage or denial for a bit (a month?). I forget...the specifics were included in a previous post (within this thread)...all I can say is when 2.4GHz went wonky, the only thing I could do, consistently, was to restart the Archer. This oddity started out of the blue and seamingly stopped just the same. The specifics I included in yesterday's post/response are and have been my wireless settings since the day I first set it up (nothing has changed in this area). Fingers crossed!

@DannyBoi, as I understand it, the firmware update is applied and the router is restarted. Isn't that odd that restarting it again (a 2nd time) corrects the subsequent connectivity issues with other IOT devices? Puzzling. @Kevin_Z, an update to my previous comment (re: having no connection issues since updating to 1.1.1), I have a Wi-Fi connected (2.4GHz) irrigation system that failed to connect to the Archer after that 1.1.1 update. In this particular case, I pulled the Wi-Fi adapter for Rainbird device and replugged...it re-connected without trouble. In other words, I was able to get it re-connected by restarting the endpoint (not the Archer).
