I was able to contact previous owner who took off his ID associated with the router and then I was able bind my own ID to it so all good now. Thanks

  @TP-Link

This router is bound to another TP-Link ID. Please log in with router's password, or contact the router's owner to add your TP-Link ID as a manager.

  @maznvr400

Welcome to the TP-link community.

I have saved the information now and you can delete the MAC address and email for privicy risk.

And please refer to the Message for further details.

Thank you.

Hi,

I purchased an Archer MR600 from a local retail store, which had previously been tested by another customer who had returned it back to the store.

Now when I try to activate the TP-Link Cloud account of my new device, it tells me that the router is already bound to another TP-Link ID.

How can I unbind the router from the previous account in order to complete the binding process for my own account?

Hi, please try to factory reset the MR600 by pressing and holding the reset button for about 10s until power LED starts flashing.

After that, if it is still bound to previous account, please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com and provide the following information:

1. When did you purchase this MR600

2. A picture of the product label on the MR600 itself where we could check its MAC address etc.

3. Any proof of purchase if available
