Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.11 build 20190726 rel. 57101(4555)

Hello,

I have the Archer C7 router in the basement, and two RE300 extenders(in the basement) connected to the router on the OneMesh network. Which works perfectly fine for the basement.

But on the 1st floor the signal is werry weak, so the extenders wont help.

I do have an ethernet Cat6 cable from my Archer C7 to the 1st floor.

My question is, can i use a wired connection to extend OneMesh to the whole house??

Let's say i buy another Archer C7 connect it wia ethernet to the Archer C7 in the basement and another RE300 and connect it to the Archer C7 on the 1st floor, would that work or is there anothr solution?

Please help.

Thanks

@kojc525

Hello,

Unfortunately no, the OneMesh™ router can only be combined with OneMesh™ RE or OneMesh™ PLC to build Mesh networks.

Several questions about the OneMesh™ and Mesh

Back to your case, we suggest you may add an Onemesh powerline extender to the 1st floor if your house is running under the same power circuit. Below is the Onemesh Compatibility List:
