Hi All.

I have 6 Powerline Adapters, 4 x AV500 Nano and 2 x AV600's.

I've been using the 500's for a long time no problem. I bought 2 AV600's earlier this year, and only just got them out to use. They initially paired to the existing Powerline network no problem, and then they drop the connection.

I initially thought it was the room in the house, maybe a wiring issue. I decided to factory reset all adapeters, and i updated the firmware on the AV500s to the latest 1.3, the AV600 still won't pair.

I tried it in a different room in the house, it initially paired, leading me to believe it was the first room was the problem. It then dropped and won't pair to the network again. I've just tried a 3rd room and again it won't pair.

I then decided to take one of the original 4 AV500s to the first room, and it connected straight away and hasn't dropped.

This proves that the AV600s are not working as 'compatible' with the AV500s.

Does anyone have any ideas why these won't connect?

@dmn1981

Good day,

For your case, could you please help us check the following information:

For the 6 Powerline Adapters, 4 x AV500 Nano and 2 x AV600's, are they 2*TP-PA4010KIT, and 1*TL-WPA4220kit

(if not, may I know the exact model number, and you could find it at the back of the adapter.)

Have you ever tried to put one of the AV600 as the main adapter connected to the router, and leave the one of AV500 as the extender to see if they could pair together?

And is there any chance that you could try to drop a simple network map of all 6 adapters and mark out where they are plugged?

Thank you~

@Kathy_Z Thanks for the reply.

Please find attached diagram along with images of all 6 x Powerline Adapters.

Firstly i tried you recommendation and put an AV600 connected to the Router, it connected for around 30 seconds and then dropped out (like all other locations).

As you can see from the images, all 6 adapters are in fact TL-PA4010's, so from a model perspective they are all identical. I suspect the 500's are Version 1/2 and the AV600s are version 3, as you can see that on the labels (not present on the 500's).

Is it possible the AV600's are faulty? Any other suggestions?

@dmn1981

Good day.

Sorry for the delay.

When the power-line lights blinking on the TL-WPA4220s(AV600), would they show up on the utility as paired?

If you do not mind, please help us run the following test:

  1. Connect one of the AV600 to the main router and use the 2nd as the extender, temporarily unplug the rest of 4 AV500s;

(if only two of them are working properly, at least the devices itself are not faulty.)

2. Then connect one of the AV500 and one of AV600 to see if they could work properly;

And later we would follow up your case via email, please keep an eye on your message box.

Thank you very much!
