Anyone know if TL-WA850RE be configured as wireless access point? I'm looking to create a wireless access point in my shed via Ethernet connection from modem/router in house. Wifi signal doesn't extend to the shed. I have a spare TL-WA850RE that I'll use if it can be configured as a wireless access point, not just a wireless extender. Thanks.

Hello,

The 850RE supports access point mode.

And you could run an Ethernet cable from the router to 850RE in the shed to extend the Wi-Fi coverage.

Thanks, I got it up and working yesterday after some further research. Strange that this isn't really a feature that gets highlighted. The range extenders that double as a wireless access point are really handy given their small footprint and the fact they plug directly into a power source. Cost is also very affordable. Thanks for your response, and link shared.
