Hi @Abhi093

Can you suggest me some antennas? I live in a suburban area and have Multiple Jio/Airtel Towers within 2kms of my home. I tried to figure this out and have looked at LDPA and patch antennas. Some people in one of the threads also suggested getting a omnidirectional antenna but I am not sure which omnidirectional antenna I should get.

Indoors, I am only getting 1-2 bars, 50% signal strength, < 10 db SNR, -80+DB RSSP and -10 - -20DB RSSQ.

Indoors, On Jio with the router in 3+5 configuration I am getting 10-15mbps speed

On Airtel, In 3+40 configuration I am getting 20mbps speed. Upstairs, On airtel, I was getting 50-60mbit speed.

So, I think getting an antenna will definitely help.

So, Please suggest what antenna and wires I should get? (Distance will be around 15m)

Thank you so much for your comments on this forum. They have been immensely helpful in figuring out some of this stuff.

Hi @ishanjain28, Thank you for highlighting this fact. I have already spoken with Amazon CS, they are ready for the replacement. But no return for this product. On the product page it self they have provided the TP Link number and are suggesting to call them and ask for solution. Also had word with my friends and here, even the replacement units not providing the solution unless we have a new version like V2 which might be latest one. Even today had asked in Amazon product page that if V2 is available. So no point of getting it replaced cause all the units are same. Thank you and regards,

Hi @ishanjain28,

Yes, i think you are right. Might be some help we can get by using the Antenna till the time the lastest firmwares comes and our problem goes off.

@Abhi093

Could you please suggest some of the options for the Antenna? I would be travelling to my native place (Odisha) in coming days and would be requiring good interent speed for WFH case,it would be a great help. Airtel and Jio towers are avilable within 1kM to 2KM range.

Aslo if any one else can sugget, it would be much appriciated.

@Debatosh I agree that I have a buggy firmware at UE side. However, during the last week my closest Airtel tower has been upgraded to 4 TDD sector antennas.( Earlier it had 3 TDD sectors) Post that I am not getting TDD Band 40 (2300 MHz). Earlier I used to get all 2CA combinations with Airtel with constant speeds upto 90 Mbps. Now the Airtel infratel team had changed the antenna orientation and I am only getting FDD band 3 (1800 Mhz). Really sad. Though I have Jio as an alternative so it's ok. But after complaining about this to local BSS Engineer they have agreed to fix the Antenna orientation for TDD 2300 MHz Sector , but they don't have a timeline. The tower is just 120 meters from my location

Awaiting with patience.

Regards, Abhi

I would ask you to please provide newer 2CA band support for the MR600.

2CA_1A-40A , 2CA_3A-41A .

@Sunshine

Hello,

Do you have any update on 40A+40A CA? We all are waiting for such a long time. I had a impression that TPLink listen to its customers.
