@TP-Link_Deco

I have the s20 5g and it says that I have wifi 6 in the top right corner but how come I can't get the WiFi 6 speeds close/near to 1.2gbps. I have gigabit speeds from fios 940dl/880up

I get only 500-650mbps ish download and 374-400 mbps upload.

Also notice 5ghz isn't using or has 160mhz and the channels that it would provide.

Please add 40mhz channel width for 2.4ghz and 160mhz channel width (ax) for 5ghz with 50,114 channels, fix auto channel selection algorithm and or add manual channel width and channel selection for both WiFi bands.

Not having 160mhz channel width is hurting the speeds. adding support for it in a update would allievate congestion issues with others in the area.

Lastly please fix WPA3 so it is backwards compatible with all WPA2 devices as well.

These features in a firmware update would make this router even better and great. Please consider to do this, your mesh wifi system would be amazing then.

I tell you the other day I updated our Deco M5's to the 1.5.0 beta firmware.

I Noticed this one is 1.4.9 but has a later revision version. which one should I be using?

This firmware seems to have fixed my constant issues with my nest cameras and new google chromecast from dropping off the wifi several times a day.

Thanks I guess, even if it took sooooo long.

I have manually updated the firmware of my 3

Deco M9 Plus v2, however I still get a privacy warning from my Apple products. How can I set the network to accept a private connection please?

Hi, what kind of privacy warning? Can I have a screenshot of it? Is it on an iOS14 also?

Hi, thanks for the screenshot.

This actually is not related to the Deco network, it is the setting on your iPhone, you may turn on the Private Address on your iPhone as below:

Good day.

Hello, again my problem is solved. I shut down the WiFi on my Connectbox and changed the settings in Deco-app to “access-point”. Kind regards Jovanwe

I am not getting the option to update my firmware for the Deco M9 plus. Still showing 1.2.12 build . Is there something I need to do to get the update?

Is this available to all regions? I'm currently in Hong Kong, and when I click on those links, it keeps reverting back to me to the HK site which doesn't have the official firmware updates.

Should I just go through the 'global' site and update the firmware from the global site? Will this void my warranty (as it's warned on the firmware pages).
