@jthcomputers I already tried visiting http://tplinkdeco.net and the lan ip but the web interface is not loading. I am directly connected to the master deco thru lan cable. I have a Deco M4R unit.

@TP-Link_Deco

You say: If someone is still under the older 1.2.x version, he will need to manually download the latest firmware from here, then update it via the Upgrade Tool.

But the tool is not available and the devices do not update. How can I get access to that tool?

@GetRighT

Hi, you can download the Upgrade Tool from the TP-Link official website.

Download Link: https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/deco-m9-plus/v2/#Utility

Note: Deco M9 Plus V2 running the older 1.2.x firmware can ONLY be updated via the Upgrade Tool, you cannot update it via web nor on the Deco app.

If someone gets stuck with the upgrade procedure, please refer to the below FAQ to do some basic troubleshooting:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2930/

Update: The weak security issue has been fixed already on the latest firmware, customers are suggested to check the solution we provided on the first post on this thread. If you have any other issues or inquiries, start a new thread on your own, be sure to provide details about the issue you are experiencing, which will help others to understand and advice on it.

Thank you very much.
