Archer T3U macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 Driver
Archer T3U macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 Driver
Hi All
After installing macOS Big Sur Version 11.0.1 the usb adapter icon cannot be clicked. When I pointed at the icon in the menu bar the rainbow keep spinning non stop. I tried restart same thing still happened. So, I uninstall the driver and reinstall it again with no success. This window showed up. So once again. Please release driver update as soon as possible. Since the pandemic era we relies on remote working a lot. Thank you in advance.

Hello all, I found a customer resolved his issue by installing the driver on his macOS Big Sur, you may check if you can make yours work as well:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/stories/detail/1642
Note: this may require to disable the SIP and give the authority of this App on your macOS, which is not recommended by Apple, it's up to you whether you want to try this.

Dear TP Link team,
Any progress on the driver for Big Sur? I believe the proposed solution to disable SIP is not permanent.
Could you update us when the driver could be ready? Hope to hear from your side soon. Tq!

You are correct, disable SIP is a workaround, we will release new official driver supports the latest macOS Big Sur, while we have got no updates on that yet, our developers are still working on it.
Sorry about that.

@Kathy_Z Good afternoon,
Do we have any expected date to have Big Sur 11.2 drivers available on the web for ARCHER T3U PLUS?
It's quite frustrating to perform that workaround disabling SIP just to have a VERY GOOD product detected in our macOS.
Thank you very much.

@Kevin_Z also have just bought Archer T3U and I am frustrated for not working with the new Big Sur Mac OS... Hope you will make it in time because that was the main reason I bought the stick was to use it on my mac Mini.

Best wishes

As of now the only way I get it to work is with the hack. And I stopped updating the new os version even it's a small update. I don't want to risk it's not working because it had happened. By the way. The hack has only draw 50% of the capable speed of this stick. I don't know why the multi billion dollar neglected their customers like this
I am no longer buying anything from this company anymore.

Hello,
thank you for your update. Same with me.
Can you suggest an good external Wifi AC oder wifi 6 stick that works with MAC OS BIG SUR. I did not realy find concrete suggetions for BIG SUR only generic ones for MAC OS X ...
I have trouble with my internal wifi iMac 2014 and hope to solve the problem this way. (Internet via LAN works fine)
Best wishes

I believe there is no USB dongle for the Wi-Fi 6 at the moment and through my limited research even ASUS didn't even release the new driver for macOS 11 neither. My advice is to take your iMac to any 3rd party repair shop and pay the hefty price once to replace that chip and your problem is gone forever (hopefully). Originally I wanted to do the same but the guy at the shop advised me to just buy the adapte. I didn't realize I would give up the AirDrop and Find My Mac functions. If I could go back in time I wouldn't go near any adapter and have to deal with this kind of problems every time a new software update come out.
