@Ivaylo

Thanks for the inputs.

Had tried with several laptops. The problem persists.

Also had raised a support ticket several days back. Still waiting for their response.

@BS11 you're not alone, im having problems with my Archer A6 ac1200 right now. Ive tried EVERYTHING. My older single band router wr840n works better than my new one. The problem exists in the last 2 weeks, i thought my service provider has issues but when i used my older router, i found out that A6 is faulty. I dont know what to do. Is it a hardware issue or software? Please respond.

@Rustin.Peace

There's a beta FW for your device targeted to solve some of the wi-fi issues.

You can give it a try and see if it helps. You can always revert back to the latest official FW if beta doesn't help.

Refer to this thread for downloading the FW in question - Kevin's second post.

Keep in mind that the FW is a region dependent, so download the appropriate file from that post.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".

@terziyski I'll try that later. Even with wired connection the speed is annoying. From 80-90mbps dl rate, it went down to 9mbps and 2mbps UL with Archer A6.

@BS11 update on my archer a6 ac1200. I downgraded to 1.1.5 Build 20191112 rel. 36515 (5553) from 2020 *ish, so far its doing fine on internet speed since i rebooted the router twice along with its "lag" while logging in to its webui. I haven't tried the beta FW yet fearing that it might disrupt my zen and peace.

Edit: I rebooted my archer a6 ac1200 for the third time AND it went back to being a head ache again and my moms phone can't connect via wifi. Smh.

when i tried the beta it says Invalid File type for my archer A6 ac1200 v2.

I downgraded again to 1.1.5 Build 20191112 rel. 36515 (5553)

so frustrating.

@Rustin.Peace

If you downloaded the file from the second link, then try the third one. C6/A6US...

On the bottom of the device you should have printed your region, I believe it's US (not an EU) so the third link is the correct file.

Make sure your wireless settings are :

Disable OneMesh and NAT Boost and test to see if any difference.
