Dear Community,

Iam having broadband connection and using tplink wifi router to connect multiple gadgets. Getting very slow upload speed. Which resulted into failure of routine work as well.

Can anybody help to resolve this issue.

Thanks,

@sk.yadav4u

Hello all, sorry to respond late.

Please help provide below details, and we will escalate the case to the engineers to investigate, thanks:

1. Who is your ISP and what is the model number of your modem? What kind of connection type on the WR940N, Dynamic or PPPoE?

2. What is the download/upload speed you can get when you connect a computer directly to the ISP modem?

3. Without any other devices connected, connect one computer to the WR940N directly and go to speedtest to run the test for 3 times and show us the screenshots of the test results. BTW, simplify your network layout if there are other routers or RE in your network, just leave the modem and the WR940N on, disconnect other devices and run the speedtest.

And please tell me the wired link speed at that time, how to get that? You can refer to the below link.

4. You can refer to the below instruction to narrow down the issue as well.

Dear Kevin Z,

@Kevin_Z

PL find below the remarks.

Hello all, sorry to respond late.

Please help provide below details, and we will escalate the case to the engineers to investigate, thanks:

1. Who is your ISP and what is the model number of your modem? What kind of connection type on the WR940N, Dynamic or PPPoE? - Using PPPoE Connection, ISP Name :- Sadgurunet, My Router Model No is :- TL-WR940N(EU) Ver6.1 (TP Link_B554), ISP Modem Model no not available.

2. What is the download/upload speed you can get when you connect a computer directly to the ISP modem? -Download Speed- 5MBPS(AS per Plan) Upload Speed-1.5MBPS when Connected Directly to computer. With Router the download Speed is coming 5MBPS(As per plan) and Upload Speed varying in between 0.01 to 0.3MBPS.

3. Without any other devices connected, connect one computer to the WR940N directly and go to speedtest to run the test for 3 times and show us the screenshots of the test results. BTW, simplify your network layout if there are other routers or RE in your network, just leave the modem and the WR940N on, disconnect other devices and run the speedtest.- With Router the upload speed  is coming-0.35MBPS and while connected directly the Upload speed Comes around 1.5MBPS.

And please tell me the wired link speed at that time, how to get that? You can refer to the below link. - 100/300MBPS

@sk.yadav4u

Have you tested with another laptop or phone? It is suggested resetting the WR940 to factory defaults and reconfigure it from scratch if it is the same on all the wireless devices, thanks.

@Kevin_Z

Yes, I tested the speed on 2 different mobiles, 2 different laptops. The speed is the same across all the wireless devices.

Also, upgraded the firmware, done factory reset twice, Manually as well as using tplinkwifi.net.

No improvements. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Sandeep
